The door to the storeroom was open, and there was an uncovered coffin which could be visibly seen. The security guards who were already there had to ensure that there was order so they had to make everybody from the top management all the way to the employees stand in line so that they can go in one at a time to take a look at who this person was, that was stopping them moving on to the next higher level in life inside the coffin.

By the time the guards managed to get the queue in order, it was also time for the funeral to begin. Just to name a couple are the digestive system and immune system.

Recently I learnt from a friend, that when we are engaged in something, all the other systems in the body shut down just so that there will be sufficient energy for us to concentrate on settling the something that most requires our immediate attention.

So, just to share one of them, when a person is stressed after lunch, the digestive system stops its function of digesting food, and the immune system also stops working, so now do you see why a person who eats because he/she is stressed puts on the extra weight and gets sick easily?Ryan Tan Tiong Hwihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14940699329557264058noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073680664721273368.post-27408569357848028102009-06-29T05:14:00.001-07:002009-06-29T06:08:29.389-07:00A Tribute To MothersI specially dedicate this post to mothers, for you are truly the best in this world other than the true friends in life who we will come to know.

Mothers go through a lot to bring us into this world. The pains of childbirth, the pains of carrying you all forgotten the very moment she sees you crying for the very first time. In the process of seeing you, she has forgotten all the pains and aches that came to her during the process of carrying you. And which is something I wonder, for the day when kids will realize what their mother went through to bring them into this world. Despite all the challenges of childbirth, your mother has never, ever said a single -ve thing about carrying you. In fact, she is looking forward to seeing you because you are the main reason why she is carrying you inside her! But what do kids or children nowadays do? They demand, order, shout, scream, bark at their mother, but what does the mother do? No doubt the mother will flare up, but very soon she will forgive you. Why? The answer? Love! When you do something wrong, your mother may beat you with a cane or feather duster. But very soon, the very minute you say from the bottom of your heart that you are sorry, she forgives you. Why? The answer? Love again! When a child is about to face imminent danger, the mother quickly holds the child in her arms, back towards the danger shielding the child. Why? The answer? Love yet again! If you have ever have the chance to look at the ancient ruins of Pompeii, an ancient town buried when Mt Vesuvius erupted, you might chance to see a scene where a mother hugged her child with her body over the child. The child died too of course, but what drove the mother to face such grave danger? Love!

Beating pains you physically but it hurts the heart for the mother. So who is getting the real deal of getting a beating? Love, but still there is the need to beat! The pain will give you growth but its essential! The thought of the pain or the cane might make you cringe but what good is the beating if it loses its lesson of you?

Blessed are those with mothers, but let us not forget about those who do not have this blessing. These children grow up in conditions with no one to help them in their times of need, but yet an advantage of it is that these children grow up to be more independent compared to those of their age. Many people complain about their lot in life but yet do not realise how fortunate they are!

I am unable to cover everything, but I can tell you that your mother will go through ANYTHING just so that you can be happy, do ANYTHING just so that you can have a little more extra to eat, at the expense of her own happiness & health. To summarise everything about your mother in one word: LOVE! Her love includes sacrificing beyond your imagination! Lying hurts her the most, your future worries her the most. Nothing will ever be enough to repay their kindness & love, and the only thing they want to see from you is not the money that you bring in from the business you own or the lifestyle you provide for them. What they want to see is your growth, and the best thing you can ever do for them is honour & glory.

Love, cherish & care for your mother while she is still there. For those who are deprived of a mother, my deepest respect to you for your independence & lessons in life that you went through.Ryan Tan Tiong Hwihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14940699329557264058noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073680664721273368.post-20439012412445354612009-06-21T18:49:00.001-07:002009-06-21T18:50:03.148-07:00"Your attitude determines your altitude"

"What the mind can conceive & believe, the mind can achieve"Ryan Tan Tiong Hwihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14940699329557264058noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073680664721273368.post-32737743499034768622009-06-21T18:21:00.000-07:002009-06-21T18:47:41.784-07:00Power Of Words & BrainI am back, and I am sorry about it. The past 11 months vanishing from this blog have been nothing but an excellent journey on a personal level. Life still comes at you, does it not? Irregardless of whether you are +ve or -ve, life will still come at you. Remember how in the last entry about the Differential to cap the -ve and dilute it by pouring in so much +ve?

Well, the -ve will not be removed. But really, the -ve in you is really like a concentrated syrup or juice, and pretty much the +ve is the water that you use to dilute the syrup. If the syrup or juice is removed because of the water, then you are better off drinking plain water than flavoured water. It is just like it is said in the Bible, that: "You are the salt and light of the world. But if the salt loses its saltiness, then what good is it for? It is good for nothing except to be thrown out and to be stepped on". Now, I am not a spiritual teacher or teacher of faith but it is linked if you are able to get the picture.

The Differential really lies in the words you use. It is in the Bible (Remember, I am not a teacher of religion), that "you are snared by the words of your mouth" and that "the plans of man lie in his heart". So in other words, your mouth is the one of the most powerful things you have on you. It builds up or puts down another person, it has the power to make what you say come into existence. There is something known as speaking things into existence, but you first have to make it up in the unseen before it comes into the seen. Take the example of a building that you are in. It was not there until it first appeared in the mind of someone who then put action by drawing it. At this stage, he might face challenges from others who said back then that the idea was not possible. But he had to speak right as if the building is already there. So he keeps on repeating the same thing everytime he meets the challenges. He then submits the draft to his bosses, who then find the right people to build the building etc etc. After a few years, the building you are in is there!

Probably you are not happy with what you have now or your life, but you have forgotten that this is what you have created in the unseen (in your mind) that creates the seen (what you have now). Therefore it is always important to speak right. Speak the present into the future, and always back it up with the relevant action. Without action, it is cheap talk, and when your brain gets confused it switches itself off. Imagine telling others that you are a great speaker but whenever after you finish a presentation you say that you are not good.

To close, your brain can do 20,000 trillion calculations per second, and it is at its most vulnerable at night. Input the +ve, and you get a good night's sleep. Do otherwise, and it will play on your mind throughout the night. Having a good night's sleep helps you to feel good, rested and recharged while late night owls are more likely to feel -ve & drained. It is easier for a late night owl to feel -ve, depressed and drained. Being +ve means life will still come at you, but at least by being +ve, you are ready. Another way of being & staying +ve is to have a dream. It costs nothing to have a dream, but with action you can concentrate and focus on the dream rather than the -ve that comes at you in life.

Now you have a choice. Make the choice that best suits what you really want in life.Ryan Tan Tiong Hwihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14940699329557264058noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073680664721273368.post-31700726442745688662008-07-10T22:50:00.000-07:002008-07-16T17:23:15.536-07:00The Thought ProcessDo you have a strong thought process? What is a strong thought process?

A strong thought process actually comes from something known as "the differential".

What is "the differential"? In fact, there is nothing wrong with all that we have studied and learnt up to this stage in life. The main thing, and most important thing is, what determines our outlook in life? This is where "the differential" comes about.

Positivity can only come about if, there is a deliberate program to think positive. Negativity, on the other hand is automatic. Do allow me to quote an example: If you buy a piece of land, and you do nothing with it, what happens to it? Weeds grow! You do not have to buy weed seeds to plant the weeds, they just grow! It is just automatic, and unless you have a deliberate program to think positive, then chances are that you are automatically negative. And yes, I am sorry, really sorry about it,but whichever school you went to or what profession you are in, who you are and stuff, you are automatically negative. If you sit in front of the television and read newspapers, sorry! You are automatically negative. It does not take a genius to figure that out. So what helps to activate the positive thinking program? Motivational audios, books, seminars and also a platform to actually apply that to. How do you increase the positive in you? Simple. Stop the negative going in into you via your ears, mouth and brain. Cap the negative, and start putting in so much positive that you dilute the negative. Here is where "the differential" comes in. If the positivity in you is much much greater compared to the negativity in you, then congratulations! You have a huge Positive differential! But what if that differential goes the other way round?

There is actually no secret to that. You can do self-talk to yourself! Why? The nearest source of sound that we hear actually does not come from others, but from our own mouth! Are you aware of that? Our mouth has the power of life and death, and if we speak the right words we uplift not only others but ourselves as well! What if you start telling yourself today that you are the best in your field of work? What if you repeat telling yourself the same thing over and over again? Over time, it becomes something that is called "belief". If since young you believe that you are not good at something, the good news is that you can change that belief. You just have to repeat in telling yourself that you are the best in your field (your work, business etc etc) and over time, accumulatively the belief that you had in yourself that you are not good at something will eventually come to be diluted because of the constant selftalk you are doing to yourself, coupled with the other forms of "education" like audios, books & seminars that you invest in and attend. And since it has become your belief with constant repetition of self-talk, this positive belief will still be in you, only to get stronger and stronger with each of the tests that comes along in life.

I trust that this article will go some way in helping you to adopt a stronger thought process, and that you will be stronger as a result of this. Positivity is a byproduct of the stronger thought process! Change the way you talk to yourself, and you change the way you think about yourself. Change the way you think about yourself and you change the way you look at yourself. When you change about the way you look at yourself..you do not know who the next person you touch in life is, and how he/she will benefit from a better you! Fight and go for it! Cheers!

"You will be the same in five years' time, except for the books you read and the people you associate with"Ryan Tan Tiong Hwihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14940699329557264058noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073680664721273368.post-80359052166731174742008-04-29T21:38:00.000-07:002008-04-29T21:48:20.601-07:00Something To Share"No man can tell what the future may bring forth, and small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises"

"Effort, not ability, makes the biggest difference in achievement"

"Successful people takes failure gracefully and learns from it"

"Level of success depends on the degree of amount of changes you are willing to make"

"The greatest achievement a person can get from the pursuit of excellence is not what they get in the end, but what they become in process"

"Success is the process of achieving a worthwhile goal, and once you stop accomplishing the process stops"Ryan Tan Tiong Hwihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14940699329557264058noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073680664721273368.post-649101670588929252008-02-10T10:36:00.000-08:002008-02-10T10:53:49.980-08:00What Is Your Choice? No one will ever know how long it will take for a person to switch from the mindset of an employee to the mindset of a business owner. For some, it will be a short one, because they have either been previously in a conventional business with a certain degree of success, or because they already are in a conventional business, and thus will be better equipped with the mindset of a business owner to run another business.

Those who take longer (me in particular) will find that they might feel frustrated at times, but still I believe there is nothing in it that says we should give up at a time when such a transformation is going on. Instead, we should persist on in tough times because "tough times do not last, tough people do". In such times, learning should still go on. Those who give up, are because in tough times they do not see the finishing point or fail to recall their own dreams and goals in life. In business, "momentum" is the keyword, and not to forget "patience" & "peseverance".

So, with a lot of distractions & challenges ahead as you and me build our own businesses for our own individual dreams & goals, what will you choose? If you are thinking of giving up, think of what made you build your own business! Do not give up, let us all work hard together to fulfill our dreams & goals in life!

Last but not least, what triggered me to write this post (right now @ 2.45am Singapore time), actually came from a game (Dynasty Warriors 5: Xtreme Legends) in which a character (Guan Ping) quoted after I completed a game using him: "It is so easy to give in to despair when the future seems closed. All you have to do is believe that you are powerless and lay down your weapon."

To me, my business and my dream, I will have to rephrase it as "It is so easy to give in to despair when the future seems closed. All you have to do is believe that you are powerless and give up on your dreams & goals in life, as well as the opportunity to fulfill them." To me, if I give up such a good chance to fulfill my dreams & goals in life, I will look back in agony, regret, and all the unhappy things that come from the inability to grab hold of a golden opportunity. What about you? I do not know about your dreams, but definitely if you give up a golden opportunity I do believe that you will feel something for it.

So, what is your choice? Patience & Peseverance, or Despair & Dispose? It is your choice, my friend (:Ryan Tan Tiong Hwihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14940699329557264058noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073680664721273368.post-63480840129543066152008-01-18T21:39:00.000-08:002008-01-18T21:53:21.829-08:00Hello All!

This is not my first post, but first I would like to bring attention, that there are really some nice links to pages that are really awesome.

Are you or anyone around you having health problems? Knowledge is potential power, but what knowledge is it that I am referring to? The site is done up by my best friend & brother of over a decade (12years on & counting to be exact), Kelvin! So it will be a good idea to pop by and grab some food for the brain in Success Philosophy!Ryan Tan Tiong Hwihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14940699329557264058noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073680664721273368.post-26781731093890370772008-01-11T03:57:00.000-08:002008-04-29T21:34:50.387-07:00The Vertical Alignment"Bigger the struggle, sweeter the victory"

The month of December saw a decision being made. A decision between making a breakthrough in business and replacing the fridge at home. It was really hard, but in the end it had to come to a real crunch time. A blessing, will be to use the Vertical Alignment. What is the Vertical Alignment? it goes like this:

Spiritual Faith

Family

Job

Personal Business

The abovementioned shows the Vertical Alignment. A quick explanation: The Spiritual Faith is your own religion (whichever you believe in), Family is our own family, Job is the the current job we are holding, and Personal Business is whatever you have chosen to do. In the Vertical Alignment, it is very important that you get it right especially for the family part and job part. Why is this so?

The family is very important, because it is what we call "home". In it are our parents and siblings, and it is very important to be able to communicate effectively with our families about our dreams and why we are in business. If there is little or no communication, there might be challenges in that our family may not understand it and come to oppose what we are doing. If anything happens within the family, you might find it hard to stay in the business you have chosen to build. Hence the importance in having a peaceful and understanding family through communication and understanding on our own part, that they are important.

Next up, Job. We all know that we are building our businesses for freedom from our job, but why is it that still it is important? Because the pay from the job is required for survival when we build our businesses. It is what will pay our bills, meals and other daily expenses as we build our businesses. Without the paycheck a whole lot of other things will not have been made possible. Hence no matter how tired you are of your job because of the business you are building or investing in, it is still important to be able to get yourself out of bed and to work, because you should always remember that building a business for your freedom is one for the long term, and in the meanwhile still turn up for work as your business continues to grow. A disruption in employment may prove to be a distraction to the business you are building.

So in the end, what was my choice? Buying a new fridge, or a breakthrough in my business? You've got it, it was buying the new fridge! :)

"Bigger the struggle, sweeter the victory" was the opening line to this post, and if you have ready made success, will you treasure it? To me, I would think no, because it is only because of the challenges and struggles in between us and success that truly makes victory sweet to savour!Ryan Tan Tiong Hwihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14940699329557264058noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073680664721273368.post-26266924823425320862007-12-23T05:23:00.000-08:002008-04-29T21:37:22.931-07:00Some Quotes"Bad habits are easy to form and hard to live with, but good habits are hard to form and easy to live with."

"Choice is more important than hard work."

"Everyone fails at times, and I myself am no exception. Why is that so? Because when we are going through the good times, the good times seems to pass by real fast. And when the bad times arrive, it just seems to take forever to get by. In those instances, all we have to do is just to adopt a change in mentality. Imagine your good times like a big circle, and the bad times are but a small little black spot in the big circle. Or, is it the challenges that they face along the way?

To me, the real champion, is the one that persists and forges on ahead despite the odds. The odds can be as simple as the weather, the number of people blocking their way ahead, or, any recurring or fresh injuries they picked up before or in the course of the marathon itself. Of course the people who walk cannot be blamed, because, they too soldier on in their own way, and that is by walking. Distance often do not matter or too much because what is important, is that by walking, they too will eventually reach the finishing, and that patience & perseverance will see them through.

The most amazing champions in a marathon, are those who are there despite being challenged in one way or another, those who soldier on despite injury until they reach their limit and stop running, those who persist to finish despite carrying injuries or some other problems which they might be facing. Very often in life, we tend to forget that in the course of our life marathon, it is not the end result that is important. The end result is to look forward so that there is an aiming point, but the more important one is the process and what one goes through and learns from it.

Right here, I would like to compliment each and every soldier in us that forges on ahead despite the difficulties & challenges in the life marathon. Your persistence & determination in life is something that is very much equal to running the full marathon of 42.195km, and that of course I would like to urge each and every one of us to continue persisting because persistence overcomes all our shortcomings. Your spirit is worth complimenting and learning from, because many of us may not know or have forgotten that it is persistence that drives on the world's most successful people to eventual success despite the various falls and challenges they have faced in life. Although we all come from different continents, countries, cultures, have different skin colours, speak different languages, but still I would like to take this chance to really salute you and the real soldier in you, whether you are male or female.Ryan Tan Tiong Hwihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14940699329557264058noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073680664721273368.post-79361334604992513292007-11-28T07:43:00.000-08:002007-11-28T07:45:57.158-08:00Life, A Road Of ChoicesLife, is always a road full of crossroads and choices.

To go for something that leads to my success & goals, or to go for something that I promised my friend that I would go?

The answer, straightforward. In some quarters it will offend him, but for the sake of my future, success & goals, I would have to go for the something that will lead me to my success & goals, something more relevant to what I am aiming at. Apologies, my friend..

Go Diamond!Ryan Tan Tiong Hwihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14940699329557264058noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073680664721273368.post-15966824235989834562007-11-25T04:00:00.000-08:002007-11-25T04:15:43.201-08:00What IF...What would one do, if one had all the money and time in the world, but have only 6 months to live? Or, what will one do, if they are given $1 million, and if it is not being used, it will be taken away from them?

For me..

1) Send my parents on overseas trips, to places everywhere, anywhere. Where they have never been before, beyond their wildest thoughts! Travel with them as well, so that I can take the opportunity to help the poor along the way as well! On one condition: My name must be kept anonymous, only to be revealed when I am no longer around in this world!

2) Set up schools for the poor who are unable to afford the school fees in their own country. One condition here as well: Anonymity, to be revealed only when I am no longer around in this world!

3) Buy a big new house with new furniture so that my family and I can start over again and lead a happier life of being financially free and secure!

4) Help people (e.g. friends, relatives, other people) wherever I go and meet to be happy as well, because Success + Freedom = Happiness! So, therefore I will want them to be successful and free in life in as well!

5) Invest money in Arsenal, Manchester United, Barcelona, Real Madrid and be a majority shareholder BUT not owner!

6) Meet Bill Britt and have my hands raised by him! Freedom!Ryan Tan Tiong Hwihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14940699329557264058noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1073680664721273368.post-50004975005595022372007-11-21T09:06:00.000-08:002007-11-30T02:10:55.782-08:00ChangeChange, is a long and painful process. To always live in the comfort zone is not a good thing. So here I am, in the long and painful process, trudging along and moving on. Imagine what it is like for me, going for about a decade plus without a single dream to my credit! But of course, while I must be positive, I cannot be too anxious in pursuing my dream! I must get my vertical alignment done up and well first, and for me that will definitely be a done deal! Spiritual and Family definitely will also be a done deal!

Next up, changing also refers to changes in mindset and thinking. Without the correct mindset, no change can be implemented. Nonetheless, I already know that I am starting to fly, and reaching my eventual goal will also be a DONE DEAL! Call me Ryan if you wish to, this blog, shall be the journal for my personal records for every step, big or small, happy or upset, that I encounter as I seek to be like the Eagle that soars to great heights and flies majestically in the sky! Once, I could only look up at the sky and wonder when I can be like the Eagle that soars and flies ever so majestically. Now, I know that I am on my way to achieving that goal with the newfound "wings" that I have discovered in myself.

So sit back, enjoy this wonderful and tremendous journey with me as I make the change with this blog as the basis of the records of my growth from a timid & cowardly chicken, to the Eagle that I have always wanted to be. In the meanwhile, do enjoy your stay here as I look to share with you what I go through on the path to success and freedom!Ryan Tan Tiong Hwihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14940699329557264058noreply@blogger.com0
